About PATA
 


PATA (Piedmont Area Tennis Association), a local CTA (Community Tennis Association) that services Rockdale, Newton, Jasper, Walton and Morgan counties.  PATA is a non-profit 501 C(7) organization established for over 20 years and currently over 500 participants.
 

PATA provides year round youth, adult and senior tennis programs and league tennis.  The programs are open to all and the leagues feature local, state and sectional championships and culminate to a national championship for each skill level (NTRP levels 2.5—5.0).  
 

PATA is part of the Georgia Tennis Association (GTA) and is in the Southern Section of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).  GTA is the largest state association in the USTA with over 56,000 individual members and 200 organizational members.  The Southern Section is the largest of USTA’s 17 sections, boasting 165,000 members.  Founded in 1881, USTA is the national governing body for the sport of tennis is this country.

To promote interest in the sport of tennis and grow the number of participants; to provide year round training and match play opportunities for players of all ages and    skill levels through our youth, adult and senior leagues; to serve as an organized voice in the community
