Junior Team Tennis On-Line Registration Instructions 

 Note:  USTA now (as of September 1) requires that each junior player have an official, current (through 2006) USTA membership rather than a 300-series "registration no." that previously permitted them to play team tennis.  Please do not try to use the old 300-series registration nos. when registering a player, as this will have to be corrected later before the season begins.

Step 1:  Verify USTA Memberships and Expiration Dates

If you are not sure if a junior player has a USTA membership, contact the USTA Membership Services at 1-800-990-USTA, 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday to obtain the USTA number AND to confirm the expiration date to ensure that it is valid through the end of 2006. If a junior played in the spring league, they can go to the bottom of this page to check PATA records of USTA membership numbers. If the players name is not listed there, then contact Membership Services as instructed above.

If your membership has expired (or if it will expire before the end of 2006), please renew it at:

 If players are not members of USTA, please join at:
 http://national.usta.com/Membership/Memnew1.asp

 Captains: note that since USTA membership requires knowing some personal information, it is probably simplest to have your players’ parents handle the USTA Membership.  You can email instructions for them to join on-line.  Alternatively, they can call USTA Member Services Center at 1-800-990-8782, Monday - Friday, 9AM-5PM Eastern Time to join USTA. After they are current members, you can just add them to your team.  However, in some cases, you may want to handle the USTA membership for your players and let them reimburse you later.

Step 2:  Register to Play

After you have verified current USTA membership:

If you are a captain registering an entire team, follow instructions under Section A below.

If you are an individual player (or a parent of a player), and know the team number of the team you wish to join, follow instructions under Section B below.

If you are an individual player who wishes to be placed on a team that needs another player, follow instructions under Section C below.

A.               If you are a new or former captain registering an entire team, follow the steps below.

Go to:  http://teamtennis.usta.com/Main/HomePage.aspx

or Go to www.usta.com and under TennisLink choose USA Team Tennis.

If you are already a captain or have been a captain in 2006:

On the right-hand side under Captains and Coordinators,

log in using your USTA membership number and password.

Then on the right-hand side under MY OPTIONS choose Create New Team and

proceed to step 1 under "Next Steps" below

If you are not yet a captain or have never been a captain in 2006:

On the right-hand side, under Join Team Tennis, Program Play,

Choose Become a Coach/Captain

If you have a USTA number, enter your USTA number and click on Get

If you do not have a USTA number, enter the information requested and the system will give you a Team Tennis Number

Then choose a Password and a Password Hint

and click submit

Proceed to step 1 under "Next Steps" below

Next Steps

(after you have logged in and/or completed the captains information)

1. When you reach the point to Create a Team (Find a Program), use the following selections:

For Program Type, select Youth

For Section, select Southern

For District, select Georgia

For Area, select Conyers-PATA

and click Go

2. The next page will be to Create a Team (Select a Program),

For Program Type, select Youth

3. The next page will be to Create a Team

Enter Team Name - Please Use Captains Last Name as part of Team Name

Please Note and Write Down the Team Number listed under Team Name.

Choose a Site Facility

Choose a Division

Check any Affiliations listed (Parent, Coach, etc)

And then hit Save and the system will read "Your request has been submitted successfully."

Again.....Please Note and Write Down the Team Number listed under Team Name. Also give this number to your players who may be registering indivually.

Click OK

4. Then on the right hand side of this same page choose Register Players

The On-line instructions will further direct you to add players to your team.  Remember the players must have valid USTA memberships to complete this process.

Follow check-out instructions carefully, and be sure to print out a copy of your team registration confirmation.  Note that you can come back later and add players to your team, so make sure that you write down your team no. and keep it on file.
 

Please Note: For any errors in joining through TennisLink, PATA can reimburse the league fees, but we CAN NOT reimburse the USTA membership fees nor the TennisLink Fee.

B.               If you are an individual player who knows the Team Number of the team you wish to join, follow the steps below.

 Go to:  https://teamtennis.usta.com//Main/RegisterPlayers.aspx
 

Enter your USTA number in the first column.

Then enter the team no. that you got from your captain.

 Enter the name of your school using the search option.  Follow the checkout instructions. 

Make sure that you print out a copy of your registration confirmation.

C.               If you are an individual player who is signing up for Open Enrollment (no assigned team), follow the steps below.

 Go to:  https://teamtennis.usta.com/Main/RegisterPlayers.aspx?SelectedProgramID=6532
 

1)  Select the age group from the first column drop down box (18 and Under, 14 and Under, or 12 and Under)

2) Enter your USTA number in the second column.  If you do not have a USTA Number, click the "Don't have a number?" link.

3) Choose "Search" following the grey box for school name.

4)  a)  In the dialog, type the first few letters of the school name, then select Georgia from the state drop down list, then click Search.
      b) Click on the link for the school name that matches your child's school.

5) Click the link "Proceed to Checkout"
